The colony which became the state of New Hampshire was established on a ground and it was provided by the Council for New England to Sir Ferdinando Gorges and Captain John Mason in the year of 1622. The State of New Hampshire was first formed at Odiorne's Point in Rye which was close to the Portsmouth and it was settled by few fishermen came from England under David Thompson in the year of 1623.
