The Children's Museum of Portsmouth

The Children's Museum of Portsmouth is the place where young minds can get knowledge and education in a fun filled way about arts, culture and science. The games, activities are designed to create a sense of exciting wonder and exploration. The exhibits of Children's Museum of Portsmouth are Dino Detective, Music Matrix, SoundWatch, Magicam, Lobstering, Kaleidoscope, Play It Cool, Yellow Submarine, Space Shuttle, First Impressions, Primary Place and Resource Center, Trolley, Kid's World Cafe, Mini Exhibits, Project Area, Gallery 280, Pattern Palace, Post Office.


The Children's Museum of Portsmouth offers memberships which has benefits like free admission to the museum, special events and features, discounts at the gift shops and programs. There are discounts for birthday parties rental for the members. The memberships starts at $55 and above. The amenities on offer are:

The museum is operational from Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and 1PM to 5Pm on Sundays for the summer. At other times it operates from Tuesday to Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and 1PM to 5 PM on Sundays. The admission charges for adults and children are $6, for senior citizens $5. there are no admission fees for the members and for those aged below 1. The museum has discounts on entry fees for groups above 10. There are well connected roads to reach the museum.

The Children's Museum of Portsmouth has special programs which are held for groups like Pre School Programs for ages 3 to 5, Summer Programs like camps and scouts and various kinds of specialized workshops for all age groups. To participate in these special programs and events one has to register before for a fee, which is decided by the authorities accordingly.
The young ones can get interesting games and activity from the museum shop like books, puzzle games, t-shirt, accessories, bags, magnetic toys, building blocks.
