History of the Clark's Trading Post: With its advent as a mere roadside attraction mainly for the weary travelers to the White Mountain via the Lincoln highway, tourists could buy souvenirs, tonic, maple candy etc from this place. It was only in the year 1931 that the 2 founders of this place-Florence and Ed bought a Black Bear to not only earn a few extra bucks but to allure tourists who were taking this route. But from a mere tourist stopper ,the Clark's Trading Post is now one of the most talked about tourist destinations in the state which not only offers a scintillating train ride across the majestic mountains and its forests but is also a house to much more myriad entertainment opportunities . Apart from the bear show,tourists need to visit the museums to know more about the place and the state,witness a magical world simply cut off from reality in the Merlin's Mystical Mansion etc.

The bear Show and the Seyranyan family circus is by far one of the most exciting things to be witnessed here at the Clark's Trading Post. Successors of the Clark keep uptheir legacy by exhibiting regular bear shows so unique to this place only. The circus with its motley of animal shows,acrobatics is also something not to be missed.
The Merlin's Mystical Mansion is yet another impelling place of beauty here,a visit to this magical mansion is definitely not meant for tourists with a weak heart or any other serious ailments. Owing to its architecture the mansion is placed deliberately at a unique gravity point so that tourist coming to this mansion experiences the whole world going upside down .
Ezra Tuttle's crazy contraptions is another important place of visit here at Clark's Trading Post. The starkly different structure of the building renders it a slanting look and interior where tourists can witness a real mad and crazy world.
