Littleton Grist Mill

The economic community of Littleton has its origins in the Littleton Grist Mill as well as lumber mill which was established by Solomon Mann for business purposes in the year of 1798. Since other structures were added up with the Littleton Grist mill, the complex of the mill finally became the most popular village of Littleton and the core area of the industry. The power of the Littleton Grist Mills was catered by the popular Ammonoosuc River with the help of a dam. Despite the fact that the dam is no more exists, the actual Littleton Grist Mill still remains and it is reestablished to its true appearance. Once more, the famous Littleton Grist Mill gets pride in creating the high-grade organic flours and grain mixtures that can be possible. As we all know that Grist Mill is a mill for grinding grain especially the customer's own grain. It can simply mentioned as a flour mills. According to the ancient history, there are few instances of grist mills can be seen in Europe from the High Middle Ages.

According to the history, In the year of 1797, a man of the village of Littleton by the name of Solomon Mann bought the Littleton Grist Mill which was privileged on the Ammonoosuc River. The Littleton Grist Mill was the highest level of development at a particular time and it was having several special features that are described in Oliver Evan's Handbook.

The renovation of the Littleton Grist Mill has been completed by the total individual funds taken from the local folks who are proud of their own northern New Hampshire rich heritage and also proud of their high quality of products made from the Littleton Grist Mill. So, the grist mill is a great mill to produce great quality of flour in the entire part of the New Hampshire.
