Old Man of the Mountain

Being recognized as a state in the New England domain of the northeastern area of the United States of America, the New Hampshire was known after the name of the south English area of Hampshire. The state of New Hampshire was one of the primary thirteen Colonies that formed the United States of America. The New Hampshire was the initial state of the United States to run its own state of constitution. The history of New Hampshire has its own glory and significance. Like the same way, the state of New Hampshire has glorified its present in the field of world tourism as being an outstanding tourist place, the state of New Hampshire has gained huge fame and every year many tourists come to this place to have a view of all the major attractions of the state and to experience the picturesque landscapes of the place. Among all the major tourist attractions of New Hampshire, the Old Man of the Mountain is the famous one and it has a unique value of attraction


The Old Man of the Mountain is a most famous attraction of the state it is also popular as the great stone face of the New Hampshire. The historical old Man of the Mountain was originally a series of five granite cliff shelves on the great Cannon Mountain in the White Mountains area of the state of New Hampshire, United States of America. It is a natural creation when the Old Man of the Mountain is seen from the perfect angle, the structure looked like a jaggy profile of a old man's face. The initial registered discovery of the Old Man of the Mountain was in the year of 1805. The outcropping of the structure was 1,200 feet higher up from the Profile Lake and it is measured forty feet tall and twenty five feet wide. But unfortunately the structure of Old Man of the Mountain was collapsed in the year of 2003.
